At I Demand Access, we believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty. We are committed to making a difference in some of the most impoverished countries in Africa, where access to education is limited, especially for girls. Our focus is on empowering communities through education and we currently operate in ten of the poorest countries on the continent.
Globally, around 130 million girls aged 6 to 17 are out of school, with girls disproportionately affected compared to boys in poor countries.
In poor countries, 50% of women lack basic healthcare, including prenatal and reproductive services, leading to higher maternal mortality.
In sub-Saharan Africa, complete girls lower secondary school, and the gender disparity is even more pronounced in rural areas and among the poorest populations .
Empower young girls to become leaders in their communities. Through our mentorship and leadership programs, we nurture their confidence, resilience, and ability to advocate for themselves and others, paving the way for future generations of female leaders.
To fuel Malawian girls to transform their world and inspire a limitless future
