We are excited to announce that Madiha Chowdhury, an MBA candidate from the University of Michigan in the United States of America, is joining our partner Othakarhaka Foundation (OTK) in Malawi as a Summer Media and Marketing Consultant for 2024!
Madiha’s commitment to our cause is truly commendable. Her visit comes just two months after she, along with 12 fellow MBA students from the University of Michigan, spent three weeks at Othakarhaka Foundation. Their time in Malawi was marked by impactful work and a deep dedication to supporting our mission.
Othakarhaka Foundation is a flagship organization supported by I Demand Access (IDA) in Malawi. The University of Michigan students were so inspired by their initial project that, even after it concluded, they decided to continue their support. In 2019, they founded I Demand Access, a US non-profit dedicated to helping girls and women in Malawi. The project’s success has led to an ongoing partnership, with the University of Michigan continuing to send student teams to Malawi each year.
We are happy with the continued partnership between the University of Michigan and our partner, Othakarhaka Foundation. We are grateful to the staff and faculty who provide new opportunities for students to drive excellence in non-profits.
We wish Madiha all the best in her role and are thrilled to have her supporting Othakarhaka Foundation! For those interested in visiting Malawi to volunteer, support, or simply appreciate the work OTK is doing under the mission and vision of I Demand Access, we encourage you to join us in our efforts to uplift girls and women in Malawi.
