On September 26th, I Demand Access hosted the Kindness is Power event, a heartfelt celebration of women’s strength, kindness, and the power of collaboration. The evening took place at All Saints Church in Pasadena, CA, under the leadership of Dr. Nicole Irving-Hogan and Dr. Don Thomas, whose dedication and vision made this memorable night possible.
The event brought together friends, volunteers, and supporters of I Demand Access to honor the spirit of unity and the impact of kindness. Guests shared stories, built connections, and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting women and girls around the world.
A special highlight of the evening was the inspiring speech by Ida Puliwa Mwango, founder of the Othakarhaka Foundation – Passing on the Kindness, who traveled from Malawi to join us. Ida shared her powerful journey of transforming personal challenges into a movement that empowers thousands of girls in rural communities through education and mentorship. Her words reminded everyone that kindness is not just an act, it is a force that can change lives.
After the event, Ida continued her journey across the United States, sharing her story and spreading her contagious kindness everywhere she went. Her presence continues to inspire all of us to lead with compassion and purpose.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us in person and to all who continue to support our mission. Together, we are proving that kindness truly has the power to create lasting impact.
Here’s to continuing this mission, one act of kindness at a time.
